Waratah Flats Nutcracker

Another grandson of the famous Forestglen Seth, this young male reflects the many generations of selective breeding within Waratah Flats fawn genetic improvement programme. The results are amazing.

Although still young WF Nutcracker has already proved that he is one of those special males that we all strive to breed. His creation has been the result of many years of selective breeding aimed at advancing the super fine genetics within the Waratah Flat’s fawn and coloured huacaya alpaca herd.
He has inherited his superb fine fleece genetics through his father WF Fire Cracker (4 times Supreme Champion Huacaya and 18u in his 5th fleece) and his grandfather Forestglen Seth (International Supreme Fleece Champion). FG Seth is still only 19.8u in his 10th fleece and continues to maintain good crimp and lustre.

His mother is WF Elite Fashion one of our top stud females, who has an impressive breeding career delivering us a string of stud quality offspring. WF Elite Fashion is still only 17.2 u in her 6th fleece and has won many fleece championships herself over recent years.

WF Nutcracker’s fleece is a beautiful medium fawn colour, super soft to the handle, with great lustre. It displays those highly aligned bundling staples that are created by its density and volume. You need to put your hands in this fleece to fully appreciate its true quality.

He also displays a very high frequency crimp which is reflected in his high (for alpaca) curvature results.

WF Nutcracker was DNA tested and certified as a qualified AANZ breeding male in April 2019 and has already started his stud male duties. We are currently using him as an “in house” breeding male but will have pregnant females by him available for sale.
