Goldstar
Homestead Farm Gold Star is an upright young male, with excellent true to type confirmation. He is a big, well-framed boy and we are impressed with his robust stature and his solid presence. He has a good covering of soft handling fibre, a beautiful honey fawn, that is still only at 19.87u for his second shearing. His fleece exhibits a well-aligned staple structure, with highly defined crimp and a great lustre. He also shows great density, which extends well down his legs and up into his neck, giving him excellent uniformity. Imported from Australia in 2006, he has grow 2.1 kg of fleece in the first five months in NZ out of quarantine, which when annualised is very impressive. He has a curve factor of 47.4 (SGS OFDA 2000) His curve factor is:

Gold Star has only just come on the market and this is the first time he is offered for outside stud services. He started working in March 2007 and already has a number of Waratah Flats females scanned pregnant, with a very good conception rate for such a young male. So if you are looking for quality fawn genetics, in the lighter colour range, then this is the boy for you.
